On November 3, Ainjil was shot eight times in a home invasion that resulted in the death of her fiancé Jonathan “Caine” Lestelle and the loss of the couple’s unborn child. But on Saturday night at the Box Office the tattoo artist and keyboardist proved she’s recovering—physically and emotionally—from last month’s tragedy.

The Restless dance party has been put to bed. A staple at the Beauty Bar every second Friday of the month, Restless took its final bow on December 12. Dave Foley is a great drinking buddy. I realized this around 6 a.m. Saturday morning inside a strip club. But perhaps I should start at the beginning—a time before my head was pounding from one too many drinks.

The X-rays of grotesque human mishaps are gone. So is the cigarette-burned carpet. But at the former Emergency Room Lounge last Saturday night, local music returned to its newly redecorated home … at least for a minute.

Plan B—it’s what you do when Plan A fails. No, we’re not referring to the morning-after pill, but the relatively new afterhours at Scores Las Vegas, or rather, at Rick’s Cabaret. Don’t worry. It’ll all make sense in a minute.
