Walking the AEE show floor Thursday at the Sands Expo, it appears maybe 1 percent of the expo's vendors come from CES — Iomega, maker of hard drives and network storage.
"We sell storage, and everybody needs storage," Iomega PR manager Todd Schuelke said. "This is not a stretch for anybody. We're in town, so we thought we'd attend."
The company has a bigger booth with more demos at CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center, but its normal-sized spot between SexAppShop.com and Healthy Pleasures toy company still drew quite a bit of attention for a location with no skin showing on screens, display art or booth girls.
"Traffic is wonderful. There are a lot of people here," said Schuelke, who added that he expected even more people to stop by during the next couple days when fans are allowed to attend.
"It's a very interesting show," the first-time attendee said.
