Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, has his talented hands full these days. The lucky star is currently in litigation with Learjet and several other companies for $20 million for the role he says the plane’s manufacturer played in the September 19, 2008 plane crash in South Carolina that left AM and former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker critically injured and four others dead.
But AM also clearly has business on his mind. The DJ has also been negotiating his residency contracts in Vegas, though apparently not with his current employer.

A source within N9NE Group confirmed this morning that DJ AM is in talks with the Palms’ nightlife empire about making a move to Rain Nightclub at the Palms, but that contracts are taking forever: “We are very close to closing [a deal].”
DJ AM began his reign in Vegas with a residency at Body English before moving onto Pure Nightclub at Caesars in 2006, then opening LAX Nightclub at the Luxor as a co-owner. As LAX approaches the two-year anniversary of its August 31, 2007 opening, all signs point to DJ AM’s performance contracts with PMG being up, though there is no indication that AM intends to sell his interest in LAX. As a DJ, however, AM would be a free agent.
Calls to Pure Management Group reps for comment were not immediately returned.
Once within the N9NE Group family, perhaps DJ AM fans will have the opportunity to see him spin at other venues like Moon or more intimate sets at the Playboy Club, Ghostbar or at private parties in the Palms’ Fantasy Suites. N9NE Group also collaborated with world renowned DJ/producer Paul Oakenfold to launch Perfecto Saturdays on August 30, 2008.
According to the source, it was AM himself that gossiped, telling a few people in the DJ’s circle and well, you know how those things go.
